TTM Technologies has revealed plans to acquire two companies, Swiss Technology Group and ILFA, through separate all-cash transactions. The moves are part of TTM's strategy to expand its footprint in the printed circuit board and advanced electronics manufacturing sectors. Swiss Technology Group, based in Switzerland, specializes in high-tech circuit boards for industries like aerospace, medical, and industrial applications. ILFA, a German firm, focuses on precision circuit board production and assembly services.
The acquisitions are expected to strengthen TTM's capabilities in Europe, giving the company access to new customers and advanced manufacturing technologies. TTM's management stated that the deals align with its long-term growth goals, particularly in high-reliability and complex electronic components. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed, but TTM confirmed that both purchases would be funded with cash on hand. The company anticipates closing the deals within the next few months, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Industry analysts view the acquisitions as a strategic move to counter slowing demand in some traditional markets while tapping into growing demand for specialized electronics in Europe. TTM Technologies, headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, operates manufacturing facilities across North America, Asia, and now Europe. The company did not provide details on potential changes to staffing or operations at the acquired firms.
