Science and Technology students honored by Southeastern

HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Science and Technology held its annual honors convocation on May 6, celebrating students who achieved outstanding academic performance throughout the year. The event recognized undergraduates and graduates across multiple departments, including biological sciences, computer science, mathematics, and engineering technology.

Faculty members presented awards for exceptional grade point averages, research contributions, and leadership in student organizations. Several students were also acknowledged for their work on community-based projects and internships that applied classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. The convocation highlighted the college's emphasis on preparing students for careers in STEM fields, with many honorees planning to pursue advanced degrees or professional certifications.

Dean of the College of Science and Technology praised the students for their dedication and resilience, noting that the recognition reflects both individual effort and the support of faculty mentors. The ceremony concluded with a reception for students, families, and university staff. A full list of award recipients is available through the college's administrative office.
