MatSing has introduced a proprietary manufacturing process designed to boost the capabilities of multibeam and wideband antennas used in satellite communications. The company says the new technique allows these antennas to handle both transmission and reception with greater efficiency, addressing a growing need for higher data throughput in crowded frequency bands.
The approach focuses on improving the structural precision of large-aperture lenses and reflectors. By refining how these components are produced, MatSing claims it can reduce signal loss and interference between adjacent beams. This is particularly important for low Earth orbit satellite constellations, where ground terminals must track multiple satellites simultaneously while maintaining a stable link.
According to the firm, the technology also simplifies production of antennas with complex geometries. That means manufacturers can scale up output without sacrificing performance, which has been a bottleneck for next-generation systems. The announcement did not include specific performance metrics or a timeline for commercial availability, but MatSing indicated that early trials with partners have shown promising results in both Ku-band and Ka-band applications.
Industry observers note that the move could help close the gap between theoretical antenna designs and practical deployment. As satellite networks expand, ground equipment that can handle more beams and wider spectrum will become critical. MatSing's announcement positions the company as a potential supplier for that infrastructure, though independent verification of the claimed improvements has yet to be published.
