Aubrey Fudge is on a mission to revolutionize language education by creating an immersive learning experience. Having spent a year and a half in Germany during high school, she discovered firsthand that the best way to master a language is through complete immersion. This realization has fueled her passion to address the gaps in traditional language education methods.
Currently studying in the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology, Fudge is developing cutting-edge technology aimed at enhancing language acquisition. Her approach focuses on creating environments where learners can engage with the language in real-world contexts, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable. By integrating elements of mechatronics and robotics, she aims to provide interactive experiences that mimic authentic language use.
Fudge’s innovative project highlights the importance of experiential learning in education, particularly in language acquisition. As she continues to refine her technology, the potential for transforming how languages are taught and learned is immense, promising to make language learning more accessible and engaging for everyone.
