ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE:ASX) has announced a strategic partnership with WUS Printed Circuit Co., Ltd. to build a new manufacturing facility in the Nanzih Technology Industrial Park in Kaohsiung. The deal was made public on May 8, marking a significant move for both companies in the semiconductor supply chain.
Under the agreement, the two firms will work together to set up production lines at the new site. ASE is widely recognized as one of the top semiconductor stocks to consider for investment right now, and this collaboration is expected to strengthen its position in advanced packaging and testing services. WUS Printed Circuit, a major player in the printed circuit board industry, brings its own expertise to the table.
Management at ASE noted that the facility will focus on meeting growing demand for high-performance computing and other chip-related technologies. The location in Kaohsiung's tech park offers logistical advantages and access to skilled labor. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed, but the project is seen as a long-term bet on the continued expansion of the semiconductor sector in Taiwan. Both companies expect the facility to ramp up operations in phases over the next few years.
